Three Pillars of Digital Society Education

In the lab, children experience the use of ICT with friends to make new discoveries and deepen their exploration. For example, ICT may be used in a natural way in childcare through the ingenuity of teachers, such as projecting on a large screen the ocean, mountains, prairies, foreign landscapes, or the world of fairy tales to help educate the mind through simulated experiences. In addition, by giving children appropriate experiences of robots and virtual worlds, we can broaden the scope of their emotional education, such as thinking about the differences between people and robots, and what only we humans can do.
Let's all think about the rules
for smartphones and tablets!
As the use of ICT and social networking services begins at a younger age, we will nurture the basic ideas and attitudes necessary for children to protect themselves and respect the rights of those around them through hands-on experience. We will also work with children on how to use ICT appropriately when they are at home.
Will it work?

Children are expected to be educated to become creators of a sustainable society in the future. As digital devices are rapidly spreading as an essential element of society and daily life, we aim to build a foundation for children to continue growing up in a digital society while making good use of ICT devices.
Through this Media Lab, we hope that children will enjoy learning the ideas and attitudes required in a digital society, as well as the skills and knowledge necessary for early childhood. We also believe that children will come to understand the depth of the education and childcare we have continued to maintain.
